We will approach the definition of the concepts of myth, mythology, and mythography; to the analysis of iconography for the identification of mythical referents; to the gods and some of the major mythical cycles; in the literary sources of Greek and Roman mythology; to the literary, religious, and everyday contexts in which myths circulated in antiquity; in transmission mythology from antiquity to the present world; to the various interpretations that have been proposed of the mythical fact and the mythical tales.

Ens aproximarem a la definició dels conceptes de mite, mitologia i mitografia; a l’anàlisi de la iconografia per a la identificació dels referents mítics; als déus i a alguns dels principals cicles mítics; a les fonts literàries de la mitologia grega i romana; als contextos literaris, religiosos i quotidians en què circulaven els mites en l’antiguitat; a la transmissió la mitologia des de l’antiguitat fins al món actual; a les diverses interpretacions que s’han proposat del fet mític i dels relats mítics.
