Malauradament, Google NO celebrarà, si més no enguany, la diada de Catalunya.

En l'escrit adjunt, Google ens informa que aquest any no té previst modificar el calendari previst de celebració de festes. Ens informen també de la dificultat que els causa decidir quines dates s'han de celebrar i quines no.

Nosaltres seguirem demanat per a l'any que ve la celebració; per això, si vols mostrar el teu suport pots enviar el formulari igualment.

Thank you for your note. We enjoy celebrating holidays at Google. As you may imagine, it is difficult for us to choose which holidays to celebrate on the site. We have a long list of international holidays that we would like to celebrate in the future, along with United States specific holidays. We have to balance this rotating calendar with the need to maintain the consistency of the original Google homepage as well. In order to do this and to give each logo the attention it deserves we plan our holiday calendar far in advance. Because our calendar for this year is already planned, we will not be able to celebrate the holiday you suggest this year. We will consider rotating holidays that we have not celebrated in the past into our holiday doodles for future years. A Softcatalà hem decidit recolzar la proposta de nombrosos usuaris que l'11 de setembre volen veure el logotip del Google catalanitzat, atès que aquest popular cercador va fer-se ressò de la festa nacional francesa el 14 de juliol i també de la suïssa l'1 d'agost, entre d'altres. Per tant, si vols demanar a Google que durant la Diada mostri un logotip específic per commemorar l'11 de setembre, fes clic aquí i els enviaràs un correu electrònic que diu:

Senyors,

Ens hem adonat que esteu canviant el logotip principal del Google en festivitats nacionals, com ara el 14 de juliol per a França o l'1 d'agost per a Suïssa. Volem demanar-vos que feu el mateix el proper dia 11 de setembre, festa nacional de Catalunya.

Catalunya és un petit país entre Espanya i França; els catalans tenim la nostra pròpia llengua (el català, que ja és present a la interfície del Google), bandera, cultura, etc.

Si us plau, permeteu que el Google celebri aquest dia amb nosaltres els catalans.

We have noticed that you are changing the main Google logo in national days, such as July 14th for France or August 1st for Switzerland.

We would like to request you to do the same next September 11th, national day of Catalonia. Catalonia is a small country between Spain and France. We Catalans have our own language (Catalan, already available in Google's interface), flag, culture and so on.

Please let Google celebrate this day along with us Catalans.
